Feedback for Alex Holden

Alex Holden

Incomplete and disappointing as you had a full month for this draft! Very little for me to comment on. You need to avoid full sentences and use sub-headings and bullet points. You need to use theory to discuss genre conventions and then apply to your video – you need stills or you can do a director’s commentary. You need to pick out specific aspects of the media language of al your texts and discuss how you’ve used and challenged genre conventions both of the genre of media text and the genre of music.
The final version must be complete and on here by Friday, 26th March and is worth 20% (2 grades).
You must be creative in your use of media technology here and the way you present your evaluation.

A slight change of plan...

Unfortunately, due to time restrictions for using the recording studio, Speak Of The Devil have been unable to produce one of their own songs from scratch to a good standard. So instead we have decided that we will use a the track 'Squaddie Meat', from my cousin Robin's band, the King Cheetah, who are based in Los Angeles. Myself and Joe (the bass player and singer for Speak Of The Devil) have personally spoken to Robin, and have been given permission to use this track. The track is still of the punk-style genre and still complies to our original plan and style.
